Arkbar Beach Club & Resort - Chaweng (Koh Samui)

Stunning location unable to experience the whole reason we booked with storm pabuk hitting the island, really helpful staff, everything was really good. They offered us GREAT meals, had lots of options to choose from. No complaints, thoroughly enjoyed this place and strongly recommend.

Plumbing in the room, strong smell.

Location

Poor daily servicing of the room. Was out all day several times but came back to find they had not cleaned the room or left water. Had to call front desk to have this completed.

Rooms offer no privacy, with balconies stacked on top of each other!!! The constant noise from parties makes sleep impossible, especially late at night!!!

Location

Manager was horrendous to us when we spoke to him. Air cinditioning didnt work and we still had to pay. Room wasnt ckeaned once even though the sign was on our door. Bad service from staff. Didnt get our 1000 bahr key deposit back, have emailed them and no response.

The location

My room was located next to the main entrance to pool, bar & restuarant area, therefore everyone coming and going went past my room this was frustrating as the music played till 2am therefore its impossible to have a early night. The aeroplanes fly directly over the hotel to access the run way therefore you hear the roar from the engines everytime a plane goes by. Im not sure exactly what time the music started in the morning but everytime I went down to the pool the music was pumping therefore could never chill out

great vibes and easy access to chaweng's nightlife

I loved the fun atmosphere here and the beautiful night vibe where I could relax on the beach while enjoying entertaining shows with fire dancers. It's perfect for those who want action in Koh Samui.

good location

No one bothered to tell us there will be construction work at 8 a.m. in the morning. When we complained about it the manager was very rude and did not care, and even claimed they "upgraded us" upon arrivel even though we got exactly the room we had reserved, and of course nobody mentioned any upgrade when we checked in. Also a/c didnt work and wasnt fixed after we complained twice about it. Horrible experience, not a cheap one either (2000 baht per night)!

On the beach and on the middle of shopping area. Nice atmosphere, crowded but quite. Very good bar restaurant on the beach, confortable and trendy. Wifi free and all facilities around.

I had an amazing time! The fire shows were nice, and the beach parties were a blast. The drinks were great, especially the fruity cider I never expected to find here.

The hotel was centrally located on Chaweng beach which was fantastic! It was on the main street so restaurants, bars, shops etc were all walking distance. The hotel opens onto Chaweng beach so there is instant beach access and there are beach beds supplied by the hotel. The room design was both modern and Thai. Overall great value for money!

Great position and loved attentive staff. Junior suites are the best!

Prices in terms of drinks were a little pricey compared to other bars. No hairdryer in the room was a little strange.

The Ark Bar rocks! Last time I came to Samui I stayed down the opposite end of Chaweng Beach and I remember walking up the beach and stumbled across The Ark Bar with it's dining on the beach, great service, live DJ and fantastic Bar facilities.. So on my return I decided to book my stay for 9 nights at The Ark Bar and everything mentioned above lived up to my expectations.. the staff are very polite, friendly and attentive, the facilities are modern and clean, the food is out of this world and the live DJ at night is awesome! Location is great too, just near to the Green Mango and shopping area of Samui :-)
